The Arewa Consultative Forum (ACF) has praised Governor Bello Matawalle of Zamfara State for uncovering patrons of banditry in the state.
In an
articulation delivered on Monday by its representative, Emmanuel Yawe, the
gathering said: "About seven days prior, ACF gave an official statement
approaching Zamfara State Governor Bello Matawalle to name individuals teaming
up with hijackers and criminals in his state, saying he knew the teammates and
that Nigerians will be stunned to know them."
Review that
the Chairman of ACF, Audu Ogbeh, had approached the lead representative to give
the names of the culprits and let the sky fall.
The ACF in
Monday's assertion, said "We are glad to take note of that the public
authority of Zamfara has acted properly. A trooper and his better half have
been captured in Zamfara for providing arms and military outfits to desperados.
"The
vice president of staff to the Zamfara state lead representative, who addressed
him at a public interview, said the capture followed local area-based
knowledge.
"The
lead representative has likewise affirmed the evacuation of the Emir of Maru,
Abubakar Chika and the region head of Kanoma, Lawal Ahmed, for purportedly
offering backing to crooks behind many passings," Yawe added.
Likewise, the
representative said the emir and the region head have been on suspension since
June a year ago and were under scrutiny, which saw them as blameworthy of the
objections from their subjects.
