Arsenal and Man Utd facing manic end to summer window after transfer snubs

Arsenal and Manchester United are facing a panic-filled 48 hours as they try and find late replacements for Houssem Aouar and Jadon Sancho before the transfer deadline

Both appear to have missed out on their top targets this summer, with Houssem Aouar and Jadon Sancho looking set to stay at Lyon and Borussia Dortmund respectively.

The last few days of the summer transfer window are now set to be spent drastically chasing other options to fill the gap.

Arsenal continue to be linked with a move for Thomas Partey of Atletico Madrid.

Meanwhile, Ole Gunnar Solskjaer's side have been linked with a host of other right-sided attackers in recent months.

But what can we expect to see from the two Premier League clubs in the next two days?

The Gunners are desperate to sign Partey and have been chasing the Atletico Madird star all summer.

But the Wanda Metropolitano outfit have insisted he is not for sale and told Mike Arteta he must stump up his release clause - which stands at £45m.

Arsenal cannot afford that and have been trying to offload players in a bid to raise funds.

Chelsea are now being linked with the player.

Arsenal and Chelsea are interested in Thomas Partey

Blues ace Jorginho was reportedly a target for Arsenal but appears to be staying put.

As for departures, Matteo Guendouzi, Shkodran Mustafi and Sokratis have been touted to leave.

Sokratis has been linked with Napoli, who look set to end their interest due to the fact Kalidou Koulibaly is staying put.

Guendouzi and Mustafi have not attracted any offers as of yet.
