Dutch outlet NOS has claimed that Tottenham Hotspur have re-signed
Michel Vorm on a free transfer after the goalkeeper was released by
Spurs at the end of last season.
Vorm, 35, moved to Tottenham in the summer of 2014 and clocked up 47
appearances in all competitions. Last season, the 15-time Netherlands
international was afforded just four outings by Mauricio Pochettino.
Paulo Gazzaniga was promoted above Vorm last season to number two,
relegating Vorm to third. Captain Hugo Lloris has since dislocated his
elbow, which is expected to keep him on the sidelines until the new
year.
Without Lloris, Spurs have just Gazzaniga as a senior goalkeeper. The
Londoners do have a number of options in the youth sides, but it seems
Pochettino has moved to bring Vorm back to Spurs – months after he was
released.

TBR’s view – Re-signing Vorm makes perfect sense for Tottenham
Spurs needed to bring in a goalkeeper with Lloris’ injury, as a
problem for Gazzaniga would have meant debuts for the likes of Alfie
Whiteman and Brandon Austin. But bringing Vorm in on a free solves that
potential conundrum.
Pochettino can trust Vorm, after five years of working together at
Tottenham and landing him on a free until the end of the season is the
obvious solution to Lloris’ injury.
